If ever there was a work of art that deserved a national debate on whether the world's most 'expensive' artist - Damien Hirst - is a skilled artist or great self publicist, the 2007 world famous diamond-encrusted skull - called For the Love of God - jewelled with 8,601 diamonds, has to be it.

I have to admit, when I read about Damien Hirst's diamond skull last year, I was really impressed. But after looking at the YouTube in your blog, it does resemble the one used by Boys Noize (no wonder it looked and felt familiar). But these days, with the abundance of information, references, etc. I guess artists are inspired by a lot of things to trigger their creative ideas. What I'm trying to say is, perhaps there's a blurry line for artists between originality and being "inspired" by something?
